The Old Boat House Food Group
The Old Boat House Food Group was established in 2014. Everything suggested the creative solution of creating a parent brand for their growing portfolio of restaurants which started with The Old Boat House in Amble and has grown to four venues across Northumberland as well as a bakery and outside catering business.

As the food group has grown, complementary identities have been produced for each individual venue, which are strong enough to work alone as well as part of a suite. A website redesign was also created for the group featuring bespoke photography of the unique venues and surrounding landscapes, giving a charming, rustic yet confident feel. With the help of Everything, The Old Boat House Food Group have been able to position themselves as a regional leader in the food and drink and tourist economy.

Everything continue to provide bespoke marketing support for The Old Boat House Food Group, including social media, production of marketing materials and advertising and awareness raising campaigns. As a result of this support, The Old Boat House Amble won ‘Coastal Fish Restaurant of the Year’ in the Fishing News Awards 2016 and 2017. This in turn has led to increased turnovers at all The Old Boat House Food Group restaurants and a greater level of national exposure for the group.

For the 2018 ‘Coastal Fish Restaurant of the Year’ nomination in the Fishing News Awards, we commissioned our friends at Second Draft to create a series of videos in celebration of this third nomination in three years. The concept was ‘Awarding our Heroes’ where we interviewed staff, suppliers, customers and local businesses and asked the question, ‘What does The Old Boat House mean to you?’ Answers included all the good the restaurants do for the local tourism sector, the employment opportunities it creates and the exceptional local food on offer.

With a clear brand hierarchy in place, The Old Boat House Food Group have grown to incorporate new and innovative venues for Northumberland. La Famiglia is a rustic Italian restaurant but with a Northumberland twist, offering a mix of authentic Italian and Northumbrian ingredients. Everything created the brand identity and visual personality for the venue, with a brand styling that was modern and vibrant but also homely and authentic.
