Because growing up can be hard
Children North East approached Everything to refresh the brand identity to include the strapline, ‘Because growing up can be hard’. The identity was designed to better encapsulate the charity’s drive and purpose, whose mission is that every child in the region grows up to be healthy and happy.

The original illustration of a girl called Hope, was designed by Lorraine Hindson back in the 1980’s when she was only six years old. We updated Hope to be to be clearer and more legible and placed her in a protective ‘C’ which symbolically shelters and supports all children in the North East.

Following on from the success of the refreshed identity, we also developed the illustration styling which is evident on all marketing materials going forward. Illustrations of children and parents are used across all materials, enhancing the playful and energetic style whilst retaining the ability to discuss sensitive subjects with care and subtlety.

The new brand, alongside the playful illustration style and vibrant visual personality, has given an increased confidence to further their fundraising activities, grow their capacity and help even more children in the North East of England.

Everything are proud to help in creating more life-changing differences for babies, children and young people in their families, schools and communities.
